From Broome we went to Port Hedland. Port Hedland is a little town with a Salt pile in it. Salt is used for glass, plastics and food. There was lots of big ships collecting iron and taking it to China.
On our way to Karijini National Park we stopped to get petrol and get something to eat at Auski roadhouse, while we were there a lady asked my brother and I if we wanted a surprise. I said 'yes please' and the lady came around the counter with a little cute joey. The mum had been killed by a car on the highway and the joey was in the pouch, the girls working at the roadhouse were going to look after the joey until it grew older to look after itself.
On Tuesday my family and I went to a national park called the Karijini national park. Lots of walking and Walking AND WALKING!
now we are in Tom Price. Today we did a mine tour of Tom Price mine which mines Iron.
Next we are heading to Coral Bay. We might be able to swim with whale sharks because they are not deadly.
What a great job you are doing with your blog Grace. And we are learning so much from it as well. How exciting that you may have a chance to swim with the Whale sharks and I am sure that you will see lots of beautiful Coral and other fish. Mum and Dad tell us that you have your flippers and snorkels so will see the coral reefs up really close. Much love from Nan and Pa xxxx
